Louise de Bastier

Louise de Bastier trained in the Professional Master’s Degree in Directing at the University of Nanterre and in the Master’s Degree in Literary Creation at the University of Cergy. In 2021, she founded her theatre company Tous Croient Toujours with Rachel de Dardel. She is currently working on her next production, Une farce, which will be presented in autumn 2026.

She regularly collaborates with other artists working in the performing arts, as a dramaturg for choreographer Erika Zueneli (Landfall, 2023; Saraband, 2024), and as an assistant to Pauline Ringeade (Silence Vacarme, 2024) and Nans Laborde-Jourdàa (Une famille pyrénéenne, 2026).

Her work is marked by a strong multidisciplinary approach, bringing together theatre, writing, dance and visual arts. Alongside her work for the stage, she develops a poetic and performative practice that resonates with her work in theatre. In 2022, her play Une sœur received the Prémices Prize and was published by Éditions Domens. She subsequently published her first book of poetry, Nos années dernières, with Éditions L’Usage in 2023. She has since published in literary journals, notably Mouche, and co-edits the journal Îlot with Carole Landa, a multidisciplinary publication bringing together literature and contemporary art.
